National Diabetes week in the UK and Steve will be performing along with wife and Jazz singer Eileen Hunter.

On 19th June at 7pm, Pop4Diabetes presents a Summer Spectacular Stage Show, with a family fun day starting earlier in the day at 2pm. All the days’ events are to raise money for Bournemouth Hospital Endocrine Centre and JDRF.

The Summer Spectacular Stage Show will include some of the best local acts in Dorset as well as a headline performance from the first ever X Factor winner Steve Brookstein and also Britain’s Got Talent finalists Twist and Pulse.

The Family Fun Day will include stalls and activities for all the family combined with an exhibition from a number of medical companies associated with diabetes and insulin pumps, all taking place at Lighthouse, Poole.

Shane Board, who suffers with Type 1 Diabetes, will launch his brand new Pop4Diabetes single, which has been written especially by Brit award winning producer Simon Ellis. The new single ‘YOUR DAY WILL COME’ will be released on 20th June and all proceeds will go to JDRF (juvenile diabetes research foundation)

The track is Shane’s message from the heart for anyone struggling to come to terms with living day to day with Diabetes or any other condition. It will relate to so many people and hopefully help them realise that whatever life throws at you, you should never give up or let it hold you back from what you want to do.

Shane Board is the inspiration behind Pop4Diabetes and despite being diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of ten, he has concentrated on dedicating his life to fundraising to find a cure for Diabetes and uses his own experiences to help other people come to terms with their own situation.

Sony have agreed to manufacture and produce the physical copies of the CD and will send them to Universal who will distribute and will be available worldwide on all the main digital download sites.

This is a great chance for anyone affected by Diabetes to come along and see what is on offer and learn more about insulin pump therapy with lots of fun and games and stalls for the whole family.

The fun day runs from 2pm till 6pm and is free entry to everyone. The Summer Spectacular Stage Show starts at 7pm and tickets are available from Lighthouse Box Office on 0844 406 8666 or www.pop4diabetes.co.uk/tickets
